This Early Learning Resource Center was a major renovation of an existing 3 story pre-cast concrete building built in 1967. The renovation included complete removal and replacement of all architectural interior and exterior finishes and MEP components.
Our Structural Engineers provided Seismic analysis and retrofit of existing building lateral resisting system with a new lateral system integrated into the existing building. Along with new clerestory & atrium features that required partial removal of the existing roof structure and new reinforced concrete masonry walls and steel roof framing with Rammed Aggregate Pier foundations.
