| Conceived as an
open mall in 1957 and later converted in 1972 to an enclosed
mall, Vornado Realty Trust hired GreenbergFarrow as the architects
of record for the renovation/expansion of the existing facility.
The existing façade will be replaced to contiguously
match the new expansion areas including two anchors, a Target
and a renovated Century 21, a Whole Foods and a parking garage.
The interior renovation of the mall will include new entrance
courts, a new double height concourse with additional skylight
areas and improvements to store fronts overall. After its completion
in 2008, the Bergen Town Center will help deliver a new identity
to the area. |
