across from the JFK Air Train, the entrance of International
Merchandise Mart is defined by transparent and etched glass,
allowing for glimpses of the activity inside. The base of the
building houses retailers, restaurants and service establishments
and was designed to contrast with the IMM while enhancing it
through the overall modern look. Creating a symbolic beacon
for the building, the glass and metal panel exterior exemplifies
the optimism and technological advances that make up this important
project. |
